The
honey with the Label of Regulated Quality (D. O.) Miel Villuercas-Ibores
is a food product obtained by the honey producing bees, starting with
the nectar of the flowers, and from the living parts of the plants.
The bees absorb, transform and combine it with the bees own juices. They
store it and leave it to mature in the honeycombs.
The
honey comes from beehives controlled in the Exploitation Register of the
Labels of Regulated Quality (D.O.), and cannot be found outside of the
established geographic zone.

The
characteristic organic properties that differentiate this type of honey
made from the nectar of plants, are its exceptional aroma and pleasant
taste, likewise, the honey from wild flowers and honey from the forest
(Chestnut - Castanea Sativa; Common Oak – Quercus Robur; Holly Oak – Quercus
Ilex; Heather – Erica Cinerea).
In
general, these are honeys of an excellent quality with a darker red colour
to black with green tints and very aromatic with a slight bitter taste.
